Kefalonia
Kefalonia is an island west of the Greek mainland, which can easily compete with other well-known Greek dream-islands like Korfu, Kreta and Rhodos, but still has the status of an insiders’ tip. Poros is a very green village at the south-west-end of Kefalonia, flanked by the mountains Atros and Pahni. It is rather small but yet it owns an important harbor where even yachts land, or where you can take a boat to one of the beaches off the beaten track. Kefalonia’s beaches are covered with sand and small, sometimes colored pebbles and are extraordinarily beautiful, as are many other spots on the wild island.
